Leonardo (formerly Finmeccanica) is Italy's main industrial group, leader in the high technology sector, and ranks among the top ten defence groups worldwide. It operates in the Aerospace, Defence and Security sectors. Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange (FNC IM; SIFI.MI), the Group recorded revenues of approximately 16 billion euro in 2013.
Leonardo is an international and multicultural Group with a significant  presence in four home markets: Italy, United Kingdom, United States and Poland.

Helicopters - Through AgustaWestland, third in the world (second in the commercial sector), with a comprehensive and innovative product portfolio and adequate levels of profitability.

Defence &security electronics - Through Selex ES and DRS Technologies, the Group is the sector's second player in Europe and has achieved a prominent position in the US market, with a complete portfolio of products/systems (civil and military) as well as recognized abilities in Command and Control (C2), radars, avionics and surveillance systems (including unmanned aerial vehicles), air and marine traffic control systems, professional communications and technologies for physical and cyber security.

Aeronautics - Through Alenia Aermacchi and the joint ventures ATR and SuperJet International, the Group designs and manufactures complete medium transport and training aircraft, it is a partner in the most advanced military and civil programmes and holds a leading position in the civil regional aircraft and advanced aerostructures sectors.

Space - Through the Space Alliance, in partnership with Thales, the Group is the second largest player in Europe, active across the entire value chain (production and satellite innovative systems) with the joint ventures Telespazio and Thales Alenia Space.

Defence systems - The Group is active in the artillery systems and armaments through OTO Melara and in the underwater systems through WASS. It also operates in the missile sector through MBDA (JV with Airbus Group and BAE Systems), that ranks second in the world.

Transportation - The Group holds stakes in the Transport sector with AnsaldoBreda (which has distinctive competencies in mass transit and driverless metro products), Ansaldo STS (leader in signalling systems) and BredaMenarinibus (urban and intercity buses).
