Projekt System & Management GmbH (PSM) is a Joint Venture (50% stake each) of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH und Co. KG (KMW) and Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH (RLS), two of Europe´s leading manufacturers of armoured wheeled and tracked vehicles.

PSM was established in 2002 with the objective of coordinating the development and production of the new Puma armoured infantry fighting vehicle for the German Army on the industry side.

PSM is prime contractor for the AIFV Puma programme, currently the biggest development and procurement programme of the German Army. At the same time PSM is the customer of the companies KMW and RLS.

The PUMA combines the contrary requirements for high strategic and tactical mobility on the one hand and maximum protection and maximum fire power on the other in an optimum manner in one single high-performance weapon system, capable to react adequate and flexible at any time, at any location and at any level of intensity.
