RUAG Ammotec
RUAG has unequivocally distanced itself from the statements made by a RUAG Ammotec manager at the LAAD 2019 in Brazil, one of the biggest defence and security trade fairs in Latin America. They do not reflect the company’s stance. RUAG does not take a position on political processes or developments. The employee in question will work with a focus on Europe in future. RUAG has revoked his responsibility for its Latin American business.
Against record sales of CHF 1,998 million (+2.2%) and new orders at a record CHF 2,221 million (+13.3%), EBIT stands at CHF 106 million (-10.8 %) and profitability at 5.3% (down from the previous year’s 6.1%).
RUAG Ammotec acquires the remaining 60% of shares of Gyttorp AB as of 31 March 2017, thus becoming the sole owner of the company. Gyttorp is a leading distributor of hunting and shooting products in Sweden and Finland.
The international technology group RUAG is opening a new site for the production of aerostructures in Eger (Hungary). Over the next years, the company will employ more than 180 members of staff in Eger and will have invested more than EUR 6 million.
