Damen Shipyards Group has entered a partnership with US shipbuilder Metal Shark for the construction of up to 13 Damen SPa 2606 patrol boats. The US Navy recently selected Louisiana-based Metal Shark to build Near Coastal Patrol Vessels (NCPVs) for United States partner nations through the Department of Defense Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. 
 

COZUMEL, Mexico --- The evolving security challenges in Central America are threatening the security beyond the region and demand a unified approach, the commander of U.S. Southern Command said at the Central America Security Conference here today. 

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador --- El Salvador and the United States have signed an agreement to integrate El Salvador's air traffic control radar system into a network operated by the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). The agreement was signed by the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA) and the U.S. embassy in December 2015.
