HOHENFELS, Germany --- Naval Special Warfare operators from U.S. Special Operations Command along with NATO Special Operations Forces from Albania, Bulgaria and Lithuania, partnered with the U.S. Army's 2nd Cavalry Regiment during Saber Junction 17 at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, April 25 to May 19, 2017. 

SKOPJE, Macedonia --- Aviation Brigade of the ARM received a pair of recently-upgraded Mi-17 transport helicopters March 5. These two helicopters are now back in active service and will be joined by four more upgraded helicopters prior to the end of the year. 

The first NATO-Georgia joint multinational brigade-level exercise, the NATO-Georgia Exercise 2016, will take place from November 10 to 20 at the Joint Training and Evaluation Center, near Tbilisi, Georgia.
 

On September 10, 2014, President Obama announced the formation of a global coalition to “degrade and ultimately defeat” the Islamic State (IS, aka the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, ISIL/ISIS or the Arabic acronym Da’esh). Subsequently, over 60 nations and partner organizations agreed to participate, contributing either military forces or resources (or both) to the campaign.
