SAE Media Group reports: Helicopter Technology Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) will commence on 18-19 May 2022 at the Budapest Marriott Hotel, Hungary. The two-day conference is back with the support of sponsors BIRD Aerosystems, IDAG and PBS Velka Bites to host a live, networking event to enable the military helicopter community across CEE to discover effective strategies for procuring and upgrading multipurpose helicopter equipment and technology.

After thirteen years, AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE changes owner. The group of companies into which AERO Vodochody belongs, has been bought from the Penta Group by AERO Investment Partners Zrt, a company registered in Hungary. This is a joint venture between a Czech company AERO International, part of the OMNIPOL group and a renowned businessman from Hungary. The OMNIPOL group will be responsible for management of the new company.
In the latest helicopter news, Bell Helicopters have revealed that their newest line-up of helicopters would include a split-tip rotor design. Bell justifies this concept by noting the ‘safety disadvantages of traditional tail rotors and the added weight and complexity of ducted fan designs.’* (Source: Flight Global). Furthermore, Bell are also looking to increase rotorcraft performance similar to fixed-wing aircrafts from obtaining split-tip winglets, which will save fuel usage significantly.
