Global aerospace and technology company, Paramount and India-based Engineering & Technology conglomerate, Bharat Forge Ltd have announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development and production of composite rotor blades, mission systems and stores management systems for medium lift helicopters. Commenting on the new agreement and the expansion of the partnership agreement between the two companies, Mr. Guru Biswal, CEO-Aerospace Division, Bharat Forge said: “This MoU with Paramount is a testimony of our commitment to work for an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', to create technologies that are niche and shall support Indian and global requirements.  This collaboration will focus on creating the ‘Centre of Excellence’ for design, development and manufacture of composite rotor blades for Rotary Wing platforms, in India. This design and manufacturing hub shall support all future programs for both India and across the globe.”

India's leading aviation company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Safran Aircraft Engines, the French  global leader in aeroengine design, development and manufacturing, signed today a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) announcing their intent to work together on bringing niche engine technology to India.

Even as it moves to buy locally-designed fighter jets, the Indian military has also bought dozens of French-made Rafale and Russian-made Su-30MKI fighters, as it retires a generation of older jets.

Underlining the bipartisan American consensus on building stronger security ties with India, US Envoy to New Delhi Kenneth Juster on Tuesday emphasised the growing military sales between the two countries. The envoy claimed that India has purchased US weaponry valued at more than $20 billion in the past 15 years.
