Chaired by both Lieutenant General (Ret.) Carsten Jacobson, German Army, and Colonel (Ret.) Paul Daniels, US Army, Future Artillery 2023 will bring together military, industry, research, and development, as well as academia to tackle the most pressing challenges to the artillery community.
The 2023 agenda explores force structure within the wider multi-domain battlespace, advances in range and precision, addressing logistical concerns, ammunition stockpiles, and supply chains, as well as leveraging C2ISR to enhance lethality and survivability, all within the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The US Army has increased artillery round production by 500%, should other nations follow suit?
Senior speakers include:
- Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth Nygren, Commander, Swedish Artillery School
- Brigadier General Francesco Principe, Inspector of the Artillery Corps, Italian Army
- Major General Darren Crook, Director Land Equipment, DE&S - UK MoD
- Colonel Sergei Baronov, Chief of the Main Directorate of Artillery, Missiles and UAVs, General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
- Colonel Roman Bobal, Chief of Artillery, Slovak Armed Forces
“Future Artillery is taking place against a clear backdrop. The War in Ukraine shows us the continued relevance and effective use of indirect fires in the modern multi-domain battlespace but equally possesses new challenges and lessons for NATO planners. Subsequently, this year’s conference is set to address a number of these, looking at the composition of tomorrow’s force
and the continued leveraging of C2ISR capability to enhance both lethality and survivability.” Conference Producer, Stephen Ayshford
