The Krab-1 is designed to train pilots and to maintain, improve and restore their skills in handling airborne weapons (Vikhr ATGM, UASM S-8, 2А42 gun) of the Ka-50 helicopter. The simulator incorporates a cockpit with standard controls, a visual situation display simulator, an instructor’s station, a computing system and a cockpit-to-computing system adapter. The visual situation display simulator provides a realistic environment of landscape, artificial objects, weapons, HUD indicating marks and animation of explosions, smoke and fires.
